Giraffe

The giraffe, with its long neck and unique coat pattern, is one of the most recognizable animals in the world. Found in Africa’s savannas and woodlands, giraffes feed on leaves, flowers, and fruits from tall trees, particularly acacias. Their height and prehensile tongues allow them to reach vegetation inaccessible to other herbivores.

Giraffes are social animals, living in loose herds that provide safety in numbers. Despite their seemingly peaceful existence, giraffe populations are declining due to habitat loss and poaching. Conservation programs aim to protect these gentle giants and preserve the ecosystems they inhabit. Their graceful presence is a reminder of the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
