Lemur
Lemurs are unique primates found only on the island of Madagascar. Known for their large, expressive eyes and long tails, lemurs are highly diverse, with over 100 species inhabiting forests and dry regions of the island. Their diet typically consists of fruits, leaves, flowers, and insects, making them vital for seed dispersal and ecosystem health.
Lemurs are social animals, living in groups called troops, and their behavior varies widely between species. Unfortunately, habitat destruction and hunting have pushed many species to the brink of extinction. Conservation efforts focus on protecting Madagascar's forests and raising awareness about the importance of preserving lemurs and their habitats.
